Key information
The Indie Stone's open-world zombie survival title, Project Zomboid, has received a new modification titled PZVR. This project allows players to experience the survival crafting game through a virtual reality perspective.
Developed by axizt, PZVR is built upon the existing Project Viewpoint modification, which previously introduced first-person and third-person camera angles to the base game. By connecting VR hardware, users can now immerse themselves in the game world from a subjective viewpoint.
Current functionality for the mod is limited to VR visuals and controller inputs. However, future updates are planned to incorporate full-body tracking and haptic feedback support, which are being developed by GingasVR.
The PZVR modification is currently available via the Steam Workshop. Users are advised to review the specific installation instructions and prerequisite mod requirements on the official page, noting that installation is performed at the user's own risk.
