Key information
Halloween: The Game is preparing its first major post-launch content update, scheduled for release on October 27. Developer IllFonic will introduce a paid DLC featuring the version of Michael Myers from the 1989 film Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers, priced at 9,99 dollars. This specific film mask has been a frequent subject of fan criticism for decades due to its more elongated and defined facial design compared to John Carpenter's original movie.
Alongside the controversial mask, October 27 will bring additional paid content priced at 9,99 dollars each, including a Michael Myers version from the 2018 Halloween film, a civil character bundle featuring Michelle and Eugene, and a Halloween costume pack containing 14 outfits with different color variants. Furthermore, the update will introduce a free new map named Tower Farm, which is inspired by Halloween 5 and features rural roads, cornfields, and barns.
IllFonic has indicated that this update marks only the beginning of the first year of content for Halloween: The Game, with more free updates and paid DLC planned for the upcoming months. The asymmetric multiplayer horror title is currently available on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC, having launched on September 8, 2026, with John Carpenter serving as executive producer.
