Key information
The Pokémon Company announced that Pokemon Sleep will host the Halloween 2026: Candy Research event from October 26 at 4:00 until November 2 at 3:59. This week-long celebration focuses on ghost-type Pokémon and offers players increased rewards for their sleep research.
During the event, players will encounter more ghost-type Pokémon than usual, including the debut of Misdreavus and Mismagius. Additionally, a special Eevee wearing a purple Halloween hat will be introduced. Researchers can use the Eevee (Halloween) Incense, available starting October 26 at 15:00, to study its sleep styles.
Mechanically, the event grants at least double the usual amount of Pokémon candy after sleep research. Furthermore, Snorlax will always favor the ghost-type Grepa Berry, and players will encounter Pokémon of all sleep types regardless of their own recorded sleep style for the day.
The event expands encounter possibilities at Greengrass Isle and Greengrass Isle EX, allowing players to find ghost-types like Gengar that are not typically found there. Past Halloween-themed Pokémon may also appear during the research period, providing further opportunities to collect candies and complete event-specific tasks.
