Key information
According to a report from Pokébeach, The Pokémon Company is planning to release its inaugural Valentine's Day collection for the Pokémon Trading Card Game on January 27, 2027. While this remains unconfirmed by official sources, the product is expected to follow the format of the Trick or Trade Halloween series rather than a standard expansion.
The proposed Valentine’s Box is designed for social exchange, featuring packaging that converts into a cardboard mailbox for distributing cards to classmates. Similar to the Halloween bundles, these sets are expected to include compact foil packs containing three cards each, potentially accompanied by sticker sheets and a themed Pikachu stamp.
While the set aims to provide a candy alternative for children, the author notes that previous seasonal releases have maintained significant secondary-market value. For instance, the 2025 Trick or Trade BOOster Bundle, which includes 40 mini packs, currently holds a market value of approximately $75.99 on TCGplayer.
Specific Pokémon featured in the set have not been announced. Speculation suggests candidates like Sylveon, due to its friendship-based evolution and pink aesthetic, or care-oriented Pokémon such as Audino and Blissey. Given the history of holiday releases selling out before launch, competition for preorders is anticipated to be high.
