Key information
Warehouse retailers Sam's Club and Costco have recently increased the availability of the older Pokémon TCG set, Ascended Heroes. While this set has historically been difficult to source compared to newer releases, these retailers are now providing consistent stock through exclusive bundles and discounted pricing.
Pricing at these warehouse locations is significantly lower than at other retailers. Sam's Club offers a Focused Fighters box with 14 packs for $54.98 and an Elite Trainer Box bundle with 12 packs for $54.76. Costco provides a 10-pack mini-tin bundle for $76.49 and Elite Trainer Boxes for $42.99, which is below the $49.99 manufacturer's suggested retail price.
The primary challenge for collectors is that these stores release products randomly rather than on a set schedule. This strategy aims to deter scalpers who previously caused issues during scheduled drops. Despite this, inventory often sells out within 30 minutes, and resellers may still attempt to monitor store arrivals.
To improve chances of securing these products, shoppers are encouraged to monitor regional social media groups and visit stores frequently. Additional shipment waves are expected to arrive during the week of Oct. 12, though availability remains subject to store discretion.
