Key information
The Pokémon Company International has officially announced the return of the Pokémon Horizons anime series. Following the conclusion of season 3 for U.S. viewers in September, the fourth season has been officially titled Wonders Ahead.
Subtitled Wonders Ahead, the new season is scheduled to start streaming on Netflix in the U.S. on Feb. 27, 2027. Like previous seasons, season 4 will be released in separate parts, with the first part joining the first three seasons on the streaming platform.
Pokémon Horizons launched in 2023 as the franchise's first anime series not starring Ash Ketchum, focusing instead on new protagonists Liko and Roy as they explore the Paldea region with partner Pokémon Sprigatito and Fuecoco, alongside a captain Pikachu.
In the upcoming season 4, Liko and Roy embark on new adventures following the events of season 3. According to the official plot synopsis, the trainers will encounter unconventional Pokémon, discover sleep styles, race alongside Legendary Pokémon, and feature a stowaway Ditto.
Taito Okiura, vice president of marketing and media at The Pokémon Company International, expressed pride in the episodes and excitement to share what is next for trainers in a news release.
