Key information
Pokémon Go features a surprise World Space Week event running from Oct. 4-10. The compact update contains no additional bonuses apart from a Timed Research path and encounters with a special Pikachu wearing an astronaut suit.
Players can encounter the astronaut Pikachu through two specific methods during the event window. Users can either defeat the variant in one-star raids or complete the event Timed Research tasks.
It remains unconfirmed whether the suited-up Pikachu will return in future rotations. Because the special version can also appear as shiny, collectors are advised to participate in as many raids as possible.
The event features a brief Timed Research list focusing on raid participation. Successfully finishing these steps yields rewards including 2,500 XP, 2,500 Stardust, and an encounter with the astronaut Pikachu.
