Key information

LEGO Japan has officially launched general sales for the LEGO PlayStation set on October 4, with a price set at 27,980 yen. Part of the adult-focused LEGO block series, this product recreates Sony's original PlayStation console and its controller using a total of 1,911 pieces.

The finished model matches the real-world console in nearly identical size and captures various detailed features of the 1990s system. Users can connect the brick controller to the main console and interact with functioning Open and Power buttons.

Inside the console, builders will discover a hidden diorama feature that includes miniature representations of the 1997 game Gran Turismo and a scene from 1999's Ape Escape featuring iconic red and blue monkey helmets. These dioramas can either be stored inside the console or removed for separate display.

Identified by product number 72306, the completed set measures approximately 6 by 26 by 19 centimeters. It is available through the official LEGO online store, nationwide LEGO Stores, select authorized retailers including Benelic's Rakuten store, LEGOLAND Japan Resort, and LEGOLAND Discovery Centers in Tokyo and Osaka.
