Key information

During Tokyo Game Show 2026, publisher Playism showcased two action RPG titles, Skateboard Knight and Sea Sniffers. Both games were available for hands-on demonstrations at the company's booth.

Skateboard Knight functions as a roguelite where players control a knight on three-lane roads. The character automatically attacks enemies, and players must navigate lanes to collect experience and currency. Leveling up grants random buffs, such as stat boosts or elemental attacks. Gameplay involves clearing waves of enemies before facing bosses that utilize multiple lanes.

Sea Sniffers is a 2D side-scrolling fishing RPG. Players interact with NPCs on land to receive quests before controlling a seal to catch fish at sea. Catching rare species may require combat, and new finds are recorded in a collection dex. Players can return to land to upgrade equipment and unlock new areas.

A public demo for Skateboard Knight is currently available on Steam, covering content up to Chapter 4, with a full release planned for PC, iOS, and Android in 2027. Sea Sniffers is scheduled for a 2027 PC release via Steam, though a public demo is not yet available.
