Key information
PlatinumGames leader Atsushi Inaba recently indicated a personal ambition to grow the world and characters surrounding Bayonetta.
During a Tokyo Game Show discussion with Shift Up boss Kim Hyung-tae, tied to a crossover bringing costumes to Switch 2 this November, Inaba acknowledged his ongoing interest in developing the series further without confirming a specific title.
Kim praised the IP as an essential title in his personal history and joked about designing characters for a future installment, while Inaba offered no concrete details when directly questioned about a subsequent game.
This outlook contrasts with previous departures, including creator Hideki Kamiya exiting in October 2023 and director Yusuke Miyata leaving, alongside the passing of Japanese voice actress Atsuko Tanaka in August 2024 at age 61.
