Key information
The developers of Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen recently addressed a series of challenging community questions in a lengthy Q&A post, tackling topics ranging from project roadmaps to development priorities amidst a slumping player population.
Regarding a development timeline, the team stated that a formal roadmap will only be released after the game achieves a more stable and balanced state. Their immediate focus centers on delivering a build that is fun and balanced, after which they plan to project closer launch timelines once the community agrees with their direction.
Development priorities will see a shift in management alongside improved internal communication to help meet accurate milestones. The team expressed confidence in adopting a seasons-like project management style to correct course.
Although specific funding details remain private because Visionary Realms is privately owned, the developers assured players that current funding is adequate to bring Pantheon to a 1.0 launch. Additional revenue sources include providing services to a non-gaming industry project, and the team flatly refused to address false allegations or rumors.
In upcoming content updates, the Necromancer and Monk classes are slated for the next release, while the Bard is considered a stretch goal for version 1.0. The team is also working on balancing challenges, class toolkits, and the level 1-20 progression route.
