Blizzard Entertainment's hero shooter is launching season 5 on Tuesday, introducing a new Support hero named Doctrine and a new Escort map titled Grímsvötn. Players can also expect radical hero reworks for Roadhog and Sombra designed to shake up the game's meta.

Season 5 features a battle pass with Halloween-themed Legendary and Epic cosmetics, alongside Tech Witches outfits available in the shop from Oct. 9–26. Additionally, a collaboration inspired by Solo Leveling's Shadow Monarch brings a new quintet of skins to the game from Oct. 6–26.

Lúcio receives the Treblemaker Mythic Weapon skin featuring custom audio, elimination graffiti poses, a reactive UI, and a dancing frog. Meanwhile, support hero Wuyang gets the Dragon Shaoxia Mythic skin with multiple tiers of cultivation customizations, color palettes, and transformative visual effects.

The new Grímsvötn Escort map takes players through a former Overwatch Watchpoint and Helix facility controlled by Talon, where Doomfist previously broke Doctrine free. The update also includes a limited-time mode titled Mystery Madness: Graveyard Games.
