Overwatch has officially launched Season 5 today, introducing a vampiric theme, undead events, and resurrected battle passes alongside spooky character skins.
The primary highlight of the update is Doctrine, a new support hero equipped with a scepter to heal allies and damage enemies, robotic bats, and an ultimate that grants team overhealth while shrinking enemy maximum health.
Furthermore, the update brings Watchpoint: Grímsvötn, marking the first escort map added to the title in years. Located inside an Icelandic volcano, the super-prison features fire, ice, and stolen technology.
Additional content includes the Mystery Madness: Graveyard Games mode with stacking random powers, hero reworks for Sombra and Roadhog, Team Drives returning from October 29th through the 31st, and returning battle passes that exclude prestige titles and mythic skins.
