Key information
Riot Games has released the 18.4 patch for Teamfight Tactics, marking a significant shift in the game's meta. The update is extensive, featuring over 100 individual balance adjustments and a series of large-scale changes.
The core objective of this update is to curb the excessive power of emblem-based compositions while narrowing the performance gap between origin and class synergies. This adjustment has created a more favorable environment for origin-focused decks, though class-based compositions remain competitive, resulting in a more diverse range of viable strategies.
According to MetaTFT data from October 14, several decks have emerged as strong contenders. The Canyon Beast Pebble deck benefits from buffs to the Toad and the 7 Canyon Beast synergy, allowing for faster 3-star progression. Meanwhile, the Deadly Flower Azir deck remains potent despite a minor shield nerf to 3-star Rammus. Additionally, the Vanguard Morgana deck shows high potential with a 19.8% win rate, leveraging Coven units to generate extra resources.
High-value compositions have also shifted, as Ashe-based decks have declined in viability. Conversely, Draven received buffs, positioning the Elder Draven deck as a strong alternative for players reaching level 9.
