Key information

Bethesda has released a new patch for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered on Nintendo Switch 2 to address image quality and sharpness issues introduced by a previous update. This fix, available since October 13, aims to resolve a general degradation of visual fidelity that had prompted numerous player complaints.

The problems originated from patch 1.1, which was published on September 17. While that update intended to fix bugs such as unexpected crashes during map usage or fast travel, it caused significant image blurring and ghosting effects, particularly noticeable during camera movement or exploration in both handheld and docked modes.

Bethesda acknowledged that users were experiencing inferior image quality compared to earlier versions. The company now asserts that this visual degradation has been definitively corrected, restoring the game's appearance to its state prior to the September update.

Despite this fix, the current update does not include other improvements. Players have previously criticized the Switch 2 version regarding its frame rate and performance stability, but no changes to these specific aspects have been announced at this time.
