Key information
NVIDIA and Microsoft have introduced a new generation of Windows PCs powered by the RTX Spark platform. Announced by Jensen Huang and Satya Nadella, this hardware is designed to run powerful artificial intelligence models locally, eliminating the need for constant external server reliance. These systems aim to transform both professional workflows and gaming experiences.
The RTX Spark architecture features an NVIDIA Blackwell GPU with up to 6144 cores paired with a 20-core NVIDIA Grace processor. This setup provides up to a petaflop of AI computing power and supports up to 128 GB of unified memory. Manufacturers including ASUS, Acer, Dell, HP, Lenovo, MSI, and Gigabyte will offer various models.
For gaming, these PCs promise performance at 1440p resolution exceeding 100 FPS, utilizing DLSS 5, Reflex, and G-SYNC technologies. Microsoft highlighted Gears of War: E-Day as a showcase for these capabilities, noting support for ray tracing and Advanced Shader Delivery to reduce compilation times. Additionally, Call of Duty is slated for these Arm-based devices in 2027.
Laptops featuring RTX Spark launch on October 16 with prices starting at 2999 euros, while compact desktops arrive in November. Windows 11 will also integrate advanced AI features, such as local Copilot tasks and Microsoft Execution Containers for secure agent environments.
