Key information
NVIDIA has rolled out the new GeForce 617.42 WHQL Game Ready software package to provide enhancements for several upcoming and recent titles.
The release delivers day-one readiness for STAR WARS: Galactic Racer alongside Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. Additionally, performance tunings are applied for Valor Mortis and Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen to boost frame rates and minimize graphical bugs on GeForce RTX hardware, while Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Sim Update 7 receives dedicated support.
Stability improvements fix a critical crash that forced Assassin's Creed Shadows users back to the desktop following prolonged sessions on version 616.56. However, a known limitation affects laptops using the Prefer Maximum Performance power management mode, which might fail to apply properly.
Users can download the latest 617.42 WHQL update directly to replace older software versions and review the full official changelog.
