Key information
NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella recently announced the RTX Spark, a new hardware platform designed to bring NVIDIA's AI technology stack to Windows laptops and compact desktop PCs. This collaboration aims to enable AI agents to run locally on personal computers, serving as personal assistants for users.
The RTX Spark hardware features the NVIDIA Blackwell RTX GPU with up to 6,144 cores and the NVIDIA Grace CPU with up to 20 cores, connected at 600 GB/s. It supports 1 PetaFLOP of FP4 AI performance and up to 128GB of unified memory, allowing it to run complex models like Qwen 3.8 Flash Next locally without cloud data transmission.
The platform is optimized for various use cases. Gamers can utilize DLSS 5, Reflex, and G-SYNC to achieve over 100 frames per second at 1440p resolution in 3A titles. Creators benefit from fifth-generation Tensor cores and hardware-accelerated video encoding, while developers can maintain consistent workflows across NVIDIA hardware.
RTX Spark laptops are available for pre-order now and are scheduled for release on October 16. Compact desktop versions, designed for continuous operation of AI agents, will launch in November. Major manufacturers including Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft, MSI, and Gigabyte are expected to release systems featuring this technology.
