Nintendo has unveiled a new trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, a remake scheduled for release on the Nintendo Switch 2 on November 5, 2026. This project commemorates the franchise's 40th anniversary, aiming to introduce Link's journey to a new generation while providing a modernized experience for long-time fans of the 1998 Nintendo 64 classic.

The remake features completely remodeled characters and environments, accompanied by an orchestrated soundtrack and expanded dialogue with voice acting. Gameplay improvements include modernized controls and movement mechanics tailored for the new console. Notably, players can utilize the Switch 2's integrated microphone to perform melodies on the ocarina by humming or playing real instruments.

New content includes the Hall of Fallen Heroes, where players can view statues of defeated enemies and replay boss battles. Additionally, the game supports the ZELDA NOTES service via the Nintendo Switch App for mobile devices. Compatibility with existing Zelda amiibo is confirmed, with two new Ocarina of Time figures arriving in 2027 to unlock special masks.
