Key information

Asphodel Cybernetics has announced Noematica: Digital Dollhouse, an n-dimensional vector space take on a neighborhood life sim featuring fully customizable characters known as Noems. Scheduled for release in 2027, the game allows players to manage characters who paint, make friends, and experience hunger.

Character competence in Noematica relies on established memories and complex occurrences rather than traditional skills, incorporating town management elements that let players use social and political capital, energy, and public funds to rezone and redevelop the neighborhood.

According to the developers, Noematica will never charge players for downloadable content. Instead, the team intends to release a single complete game at full price, relying on in-game tools and community mods rather than endless expansions.

Future plans from Asphodel Cybernetics involve releasing separate Noematica games with unique qualities, backporting core engine changes where technically feasible, and making assets interoperable for custom cross-compatible mod ecosystems.
