Key information

Hello Games has officially announced that the open-world space survival title No Man's Sky will launch on iOS devices, including iPhone and iPad, on October 29, 2026. The project originated from a technical challenge within the development team following the 2023 Mac release, aiming to bring the expansive universe to mobile platforms.

The iOS version is not a stripped-down experience but includes all content from over 40 major updates, including the recent COSMOS update and the 2025 Voyagers expansion. Developers emphasized that this is a full-featured port rather than a simplified version, ensuring players have access to the complete game history.

While the game is optimized for devices as old as the iPhone 11 and third-generation iPad Air, it does not support multiplayer or planetary settlements at launch. Additionally, the game features a custom touch interface rebuilt from scratch, though it also supports controllers, mouse and keyboard on iPad, and TV casting. The file size is kept under 5GB, with specific focus on thermal management and battery efficiency.

The game will be available via the App Store, offering a free trial for the opening segment. Unlocking the full experience requires a payment of 3,000 yen. Future support for the platform will be determined based on player feedback and engagement, similar to the development path taken for the Nintendo Switch version.
