Key information
Blizzard released a new World of Warcraft Forever beta update that raises the level cap to 30 ahead of the full launch scheduled for November 4. The update introduces three dungeons, consisting of the newcomer Excavation Site: Wetlands for levels 26-31 and returning instances Razorfen Downs and Uldaman. Alongside these additions, the patch implements a sharp dungeon XP nerf alongside numerous class balance changes.
General updates feature a 50% reduction in experience granted from dungeon quests beyond normal quest values. White and green wands now sell for one copper, and creatures can only be skinned once before disappearing. Blizzard also added barber shops to Darnassus and Thunder Bluff, improved rain visibility, and adjusted camping features and campfires.
Class balance adjustments bring notable changes across various roles. Undead characters can no longer use Cannibalize while immune to physical damage. Warriors received significant adjustments, including 100% increased Rage generation on critical strikes and instant tagging for Rend and Sunder Armor. Meanwhile, Protection Paladins lost a third of their block chance on Redoubt, and Druids lost Tiger's Fury.
The beta update is currently live, with the test period running for approximately three more weeks before a 14-day downtime preceding the full release. Known issues in the current build include enemies blocking or parrying from behind when players stand too close, and children unintentionally wearing hats.
