Key information
A massive content update has been released for the MOBA/shooter hybrid Deadlock, carrying the theme "City Never Sleeps." According to forum discussions, this patch represents the largest update since the "Old Gods, New Blood" release in January. The update introduces six new heroes, a mysterious figure called The Broker, and extensive visual upgrades to both the map and neutral elements.
In addition to new characters, the patch brings HUD updates, accessibility options, and numerous quality-of-life additions. It also includes reworks to camps and the mid-boss, though community members noted that no new game modes are included, keeping the focus on existing standard and Street Brawl modes. The six new heroes will reportedly be unlocked via player votes starting in a couple of days.
Despite feeling fully featured and running well on various hardware configurations, the game remains in an invite-only alpha state and has not been officially announced yet. Access can be easily obtained through invites from existing players. While primarily targeted at Windows, the game can run on Linux with tinkering and on Mac using Crossover, and it supports controllers via Steam Input configuration.
