The top 10 list also featured returning titles such as Halo: Campaign Evolved, the Switch 2 port of Elden Ring, Mario Kart World, and Splatoon Raiders. Five of the top 10 best-selling games for the month were new releases.
Regarding year-to-date performance for 2026, NBA 2K27 has moved into third place, displacing Crimson Desert. Resident Evil Requiem remains the current record-holder for the year, while industry analysts anticipate significant shifts in rankings following the upcoming September, October, and November releases.
