Key information
NBA 2K25 is scheduled to be removed from storefronts on October 30, 2026, while its servers are set to close on December 31. Multiplayer features will cease to function starting January 1, 2027.
Owners can still redownload the software and access offline options such as Play Now, MyNBA, The W, and MyWNBA after the closure.
Functionality dependent on network connectivity will shut down, affecting MyTeam and the single-player story mode MyCareer, which depends on virtual currency for character upgrades.
The title originally debuted in September 2024, continuing a pattern of removing older NBA entries from sale over a span of two years.
