Key information
NBA 2K25, which originally launched in September 2024, is scheduled to have its digital store presence removed on October 30, 2026, according to a 2K statement reported by IGN on October 5. Following its delisting, the title's online services will officially shut down at the start of January 1, 2027.
After the final day of service on December 31, 2026, owners of the game will lose access to multiplayer, online modes, MyTEAM, and MyCareer. Although MyCareer functions as a single-player story mode, its progression and Virtual Currency rely on a connection to 2K's servers, meaning players will no longer be able to earn VC or access the mode once support ends.
Despite the termination of online features, 2K has confirmed that certain modes will remain playable offline. Play Now, MyNBA, The W, and MyWNBA will continue to function, and players who purchase NBA 2K25 prior to its removal from sale will still be able to download the game and enjoy these offline components.
