Key information
Google recently unveiled its Frightgeist list, identifying the top trending Halloween costumes based on search data. Among the notable entries is Verity, a character originating from a horror web series set within the Minecraft universe.
The character Verity, created by ThatMob, is depicted as a smiling face that gradually becomes unhinged. It is important to distinguish this specific Minecraft-based figure from the upcoming film titled Verity starring Anne Hathaway.
According to Google, Verity secured the number 7 spot on the overall trending list. Regional search data indicates that interest in this costume was highest in Los Angeles, California.
The broader Frightgeist rankings feature a variety of pop culture figures, with Buddy the Unicorn from Casper Kelly’s horror film currently holding the top position. Other trending costumes include Nikki from the viral horror hit Obsession and characters from franchises like Poppy Playtime and Dungeon Crawler Carl.
