Key information
The father behind the Mighty Mike Plays channel, known as Dave, has released a lengthy explanation video addressing the massive internet drama that began when his son allegedly used a company card to spend $118,000 on video ads. Dave stated that the situation blew up much faster and larger than he ever expected, initially thinking his story would only reach around 10,000 views rather than going viral.
Addressing previous claims that he was fired and given a strict 30-day deadline due to the missing money, Dave clarified that his description was a simplified version of events. He explained that a contract between two companies was terminated, which he still considers equivalent to being fired, while also noting that he actually owns about 12 companies, though not all of them are productive or profitable.
Dave also addressed the controversial AI-generated T-shirts that put him another $10,000 in the hole, admitting that using AI and launching the merch was a mistake. He announced that everyone who purchased a shirt has automatically received a full refund, whether they asked for it or not, and acknowledged that he would handle things differently if he could go back.
