The father behind the Mighty Mike Plays YouTube channel, known as Dave, has released a lengthy video explanation addressing the online drama sparked after his son allegedly used a company credit card to buy $118,000 in video ads. Dave uploaded the hour-long video titled "Allow me to Explain" last week, which was subsequently deleted and re-uploaded on a new YouTube channel named Coffee Time with Dave.
Dave stated that everyone who purchased one of the controversial AI-generated T-shirts will receive a refund, whether they asked for it or not. He admitted that using AI designs and the merchandise strategy was a mistake, noting that he did not have the luxury of time while facing financial pressure.
Addressing earlier claims that the spending hole caused him to be fired, Dave clarified that the situation was a simplified version of events, explaining that a contract between company A and company B was terminated instead. He also noted that he actually owns about 12 companies, though not all of them are productive.
