Key information

Build a Rocket Boy, founded by former Rockstar figure Leslie Benzies, faced severe industry backlash following the mid-2025 launch of MindsEye, which received some of the worst critical reviews of its year. Following the commercial failure, the company experienced compounding troubles, including conspiracy theories from Benzies, payments to streamers, and its recent entry into administration or creditor bankruptcy after reporting a fiscal year loss exceeding 30 million pounds and debts of over 60 million.

Despite these financial difficulties, a new game titled Handle with Care! was announced on August 31, roughly four weeks prior to Build a Rocket Boy entering insolvency. Developed to support a struggling corporate structure, the game is scheduled for release on October 13 and tasks up to four players with working as delivery workers in a dangerous town.

The title is being launched through PlayFusion, a company acquired by Benzies' firm in late 2024. PlayFusion had previously developed titles such as Lightseekers and Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Champions, and was working on an ambitious 3v3v3v3 team-based PvP PC shooter named Ascendant, though that project has seen no social media updates since March despite a 2026 release window. Ahead of its October launch, Handle with Care! currently sits at position 9295 on SteamDB wishlist rankings.
