Key information
Microsoft has officially introduced the XBOX Nano Controller, a compact peripheral engineered for portability and accessibility. Designed to accommodate younger users or those with smaller hands, the device aims to provide a convenient gaming solution for travel or shared living room experiences.
Measuring slightly over 5 inches and weighing 3.5 ounces, the controller maintains the standard 18 gameplay inputs found on traditional models. It features a rechargeable battery, XBOX Wireless and Bluetooth connectivity, and a programmable Action Button that users can map to shortcuts like gameplay capture or screenshots.
The controller is priced at $49.99 USD. Pre-orders are currently open, with a broad international release scheduled for November across numerous regions including the United Kingdom, Canada, Japan, and the United States. Microsoft notes that specific pricing and availability may fluctuate depending on the local market.
To support the launch, Microsoft is partnering with Samsung and Meta in the United States. These holiday promotions bundle the controller with a 2-month Game Pass Ultimate subscription for new members upon the purchase of select Samsung TVs or Meta Quest hardware.
