TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 has narrowed its field of 20 startups down to five finalists competing for the Startup Battlefield Cup and a $100,000 equity-free prize. These companies were selected after pitching across four categories: space and physical AI, energy and manufacturing, health tech and life sciences, and enterprise and security.

The finalists offer diverse technological solutions. Apate utilizes AI agents to bait scammers, while Flox Intelligence employs edge devices with perception systems to deter wildlife. In the medical field, Intero Biosystems creates complex human intestinal organoids for drug testing. Industrial Next provides AI-driven robotic stations for manufacturing, and Satlyt develops software to enable shared computing capabilities between satellites in space.

Industrial Next claims its robotic stations allow production lines to be retooled in minutes, and its technology is currently used in the production of a popular smartphone. Satlyt has already completed two demonstration missions, with future goals focused on establishing a shared computing cloud between two satellites to improve operational efficiency.

The final round of the competition is scheduled for Thursday at 11:30 am Pacific. Attendees can view the presentations live at the event or via the official livestream, where a new panel of expert judges will determine the winner.
