Wizards of the Coast has officially unveiled Magic: The Gathering | Marvel: Darkhold Destiny, a unique Universes Beyond set. Announced at New York Comic Con, this project marks the first time the two companies have collaborated to develop an entirely original storyline set within the Marvel Universe.
The narrative for Darkhold Destiny spans nearly 30 dimensions and focuses on four central characters: Doctor Strange, Thor, Hela, and Dormammu. To accompany the set, a new comic book will be released, with its physical edition scheduled to launch on April 7, 2027.
Beyond this set, Wizards of the Coast revealed additional Marvel-themed content arriving in 2026. This includes the Secret Lair Countdown Kit: Marvel's History of Heroes, a 30-card collection featuring art from over 30 artists, which goes on sale November 2, 2026, for $199.99. Fans also received a preview of Doomsdrop, a series inspired by comics that highlights Doctor Doom.
Additional promotional efforts include a limited-edition Doctor Doom card available to viewers who attend the opening weekend of the film Avengers: Doomsday in Infinity Vision at Regal Cinemas.
