A new modification permits Nvidia's DLSS 5 technology to run on competitor AMD Radeon graphics cards. While DLSS and RTX remain proprietary hardware features for Nvidia hardware, rival AMD provides alternative solutions such as FSR.
Interested users can acquire the free DLSS-NR on AMD mod online to test the features. The modification specifically targets AMD RX 9000 series hardware while also supporting the RX 7000 family, functioning on DirectX 12 software that natively supports FSR.
Installation requires placing the files directly into the targeted video game executable folder. Operating system requirements specify Windows 11 alongside the Adrenalin driver, after which players activate FSR to access the transferred DLSS menu.
Although the publication did not independently test the software, the modification reportedly displays significant performance improvements. Users can utilize this workaround while awaiting a future official response from AMD.
