Key information
Lego has officially announced a upcoming major crossover building block collaboration with Sanrio. Official English and Japanese sites have already opened in the US and Japan. While the current pages lack extensive details, the items are scheduled to debut in 2027.
A brief social media trailer shared by Sanrio kicked off the reveal with an animated short. The video shows Hello Kitty, Kuromi, My Melody, Pompompurin, and Cinnamoroll emerging from a Lego bag, suggesting these five characters will be part of the initial collection.
The initial video leaves it unconfirmed whether other franchise staples such as Little Twin Stars, Badtz Maru, Pochacco, and Keroppi will be included in the upcoming collection.
Other brands like Jazwares, Kawada, BLDR, and Nanoblock already offer alternative building sets and worldwide products featuring these beloved mascots, though the upcoming Lego collaboration could become one of the biggest global releases.
