Developer 11 bit studios announced that Frostpunk is scheduled to arrive on Nintendo Switch on October 19. A dedicated version for Switch 2 will not be available, requiring players to rely on backwards compatibility instead.
The survival management title tasks players with managing New London, the last city on Earth following a glacial disaster. Gameplay involves making laws, regulating work hours, managing food supplies, exploring frozen lands, and utilizing a technology tree alongside Infinite and Serenity modes.
The title will be offered in two distinct versions upon release. The base edition includes a 30 percent launch discount priced at 20,99€, while the Complete Edition, featuring The Rifts, The Last Autumn, and On The Edge expansions, comes with a 35 percent discount at 29,25€.
Ahead of the official release, a playable demo is currently available for users on Nintendo's hybrid platforms to test the game's qualities. Previously, the original game launched on PC on April 24, 2018, followed by PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 11, 2019, and iOS and Android on October 29, 2024.
