Key information

Monster Hunter Rise, a title that achieved 20 million units sold globally alongside its Sunbreak expansion, is reportedly heading to mobile devices. Recent listings on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store in the Philippines suggest the game will be published under the Netflix banner, following the streaming giant's strategy of regional testing before a global release.

The mobile version introduces specific ergonomic adjustments to accommodate touchscreens. These include re-imagined virtual controls tailored to different weapon types and screen sizes, alongside a new automatic recovery button. This feature selects the most appropriate item from the player's inventory based on their current health and status, streamlining combat interactions.

Content delivery is also being modified for the mobile release. Challenge and Event quests, which were previously offered as paid or temporary downloadable content on other platforms, will now be unlocked naturally as players progress through the game. The title will run natively on mobile devices and support controller input.

While Capcom and Netflix have not yet issued an official announcement, the game is expected to be available to active Netflix subscribers without additional costs or advertisements. No official release date has been confirmed for the mobile port, which joins a library that previously saw the original game earn an 18/20 rating from Jeuxvideo.com for its dynamic gameplay.
