Key information

Konami is actively exploring future projects for the Silent Hill survival horror franchise. Producer Motoi Okamoto stated in Famitsu issue 1965 that the company is considering a second and third phase of releases, though specific titles remain undefined.

The initial phase of the series' revival included Silent Hill 2 Remake, Silent Hill f, and Silent Hill: Townfall. The latter title, which features a story set in 1990s Scotland involving Simon Ordell, received an 8/10 rating from IGN.

Okamoto noted that securing approval for multiple simultaneous projects was challenging following the cancellation of the Hideo Kojima-led Silent Hills. He argued that a single remake would be insufficient to demonstrate a consistent commitment to the brand.

While the company evaluates future plans, a remake of the original Silent Hill by Bloober Team is already confirmed. Okamoto emphasized that the franchise must continue with new entries to ensure the revival is not limited to the first phase.
