Sega has initiated a launch campaign for the action-adventure title Kalanoro, which it is co-publishing alongside New Tales. Developed by Red Raketa Studio, the game draws inspiration from Malagasy folklore and vibrant artistic styles.
Players control the protagonist, Karakeri, utilizing her hair and various weapons in combat. The gameplay involves rescuing lemur artists to form a band, incorporating management simulation elements and base communication to defend the island of Lemuria from the witch Raneny.
The promotional campaign runs from October 8 (Thursday) to October 18 (Sunday). Prizes include a PlayStation 5 Digital Edition, a ring-tailed lemur plush, a sisal tote, a Boroboro mini ocarina, and honey from native forests.
Kalanoro is available on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. Pricing is set at 2,970 yen including tax for the PlayStation 5 version, while the Switch and PC versions are priced at 2,980 yen including tax.
