Key information
Official social media accounts for the virtual League of Legends group K/DA have been updated for the first time in six years. The profiles now feature hot pink flames added to existing promotional art from the All Out era, while previous posts have been removed. These changes have fueled widespread speculation regarding a potential return for the group.
K/DA debuted at the 2018 League of Legends World Championship, featuring champions Ahri, Akali, Evelynn, and Kai'Sa. Their debut single, POP/STARS, achieved RIAA Platinum certification in 2022, followed by the 2020 EP All Out. Despite their initial success, the group has remained inactive for years, though their skins persist within the game.
Recent rumors are supported by earlier datamined leaks, including a potential Firestarter skin concept and a new song registration on the ASCAP Repertory. While some fans speculate about a Fortnite collaboration due to similar imagery, Riot Games has not confirmed any plans. Additionally, the return depends on the availability of vocalists Madison Beer, Soyeon, Miyeon, and Jaira Burns.
Madison Beer noted during her Locket tour that while she would love to return, the decision is not entirely hers. With the League of Legends World Championship currently underway and the Grand Final set for November 14, observers suggest that more information could emerge during the tournament, mirroring the group's 2018 debut.
