Key information

Two PlayStation 4 titles, Mafia 3 and Call of Duty: WWII, have surfaced as completely free items on the PlayStation Store, allowing users to add them to their libraries without spending any money on October 6, 2026, according to a report by Carlos Leiva published at 18:01.

At the time of writing, neither 2K nor Activision has issued an official statement regarding the situation, leaving it unconfirmed whether this availability is an intended promotion or a pricing error. Players who claim and add the games to their digital libraries are currently able to download, install, and play them normally.

Because it remains unclear if the offer stems from a mistake, it is also unknown whether Sony will eventually remove the titles from the accounts of users who claim them. Mafia III is an action game originally released in 2016 featuring mobster storytelling, gunfights, and driving in a city inspired by 1968 New Orleans, whereas Call of Duty: WWII is set during the Second World War.
