During the Triple-i Showcase, developer Mintrocket revealed a collaboration between Dave the Diver and Subnautica 2. This final downloadable content expansion is scheduled for release in early 2027.
The free expansion transports protagonists Dave and Bancho to the ocean moon of Proteus. Players will encounter the iconic Leviathan while exploring new dimensions to discover additional sea creatures and sushi recipes.
Mintrocket studio director Jaeho Hwang noted that the partnership allows for a fresh approach to underwater exploration. Subnautica 2 creative director Anthony Gallegos described the project as a mutual love letter to both gaming universes.
This crossover follows previous collaborations for Dave the Diver, including Balatro and Godzilla. The content is currently available to wishlist on Steam, marking a significant addition to the title's post-launch support.
