Key information
Leaker Jaykihn reported on X that Intel will use the four-digit Core Ultra 4000 naming convention for upcoming Nova Lake-HX laptop processors.
Under this reported scheme, H-series and suffix-less mobile chips will retain the three-digit naming format utilized by the previous generation.
Traditionally, HX mobile parts are BGA versions derived from desktop silicon, aligning them closer to Nova Lake-S desktop processors rather than standard laptop chips.
Golden Pig Upgrade previously mentioned the Core Ultra 4000HX laptop nomenclature in August following a CPU-Z leak involving the Core Ultra 9 4950K.
Intel has not officially confirmed these nomenclature changes, and reports currently indicate an early 2027 launch window for Nova Lake-S.
