Key information
The Indonesian Game Rating System (IGRS) has recently vanished from Steam, leaving users and observers questioning the status of the Komdigi-led initiative. While the system was previously delayed in April, the current removal of the IGRS logo from game pages across Steam's mobile, web, and PC applications marks a significant shift in its visibility.
Beyond Steam, investigations reveal that other major digital storefronts, specifically the Google PlayStore and the PlayStation Store, also do not display IGRS ratings. Instead, these platforms continue to utilize the International Age Rating Coalition (IARC) system to provide global age classifications for their game libraries.
Official confirmation regarding the disappearance of these ratings remains unavailable. As of the time of reporting, neither Komdigi nor the IGRS administration has issued a statement explaining why the branding has been removed from these digital distribution platforms.
Speculation suggests that the government might be preparing for a potential relaunch of the system. This possibility is linked to the upcoming IGDX 2026 event, following the initial introduction of the rating system at IGDX 2025.
