Key information

In the open-world imm-sim No Law, developed by Neon Giant and previewed by Rock Paper Shotgun during a demo with creative directors Tor Frick and Arcade Berg, protagonist Grey Harker seeks to take down Port Desire's four corrupt mayors.

The game features bodega-style corner shops where every single item can be picked up, placed into a shopping basket, and bought. Items serve practical purposes, such as crisps restoring health, energy bars boosting stamina, and batteries reloading the taser.

Rock Paper Shotgun noted that stealing items summons the police or damages player reputation, blocking future visits. Additionally, players can steal a proximity sensor from the doorway to combine with other items, creating tools like proximity mines, or break in after hours according to the day/night cycle.

Killing the shopkeeper prevents the shop from ever opening again on subsequent days, and all named characters in Port Desire have set homes that players can track down.
