The latest 2.0 update for Arc Raiders, titled Frozen Trail, introduces a highly requested feature allowing players to disable the light on their backpacks. This addition is part of a broader set of tweaks and improvements recently implemented in the game.
To deactivate the illumination, players must navigate to the Customization menu located at the bottom left of the screen. From there, select the Style menu at the top and choose the Backpack option on the left side to access the Emissive toggle, which can then be switched to off.
While the light's specific placement varies depending on the chosen cosmetic item, toggling the Emissive setting causes the light to disappear or reappear instantly. This functionality is intended to assist players in maintaining a stealthier profile during gameplay.
However, users should be aware that disabling this feature might make their character more difficult to identify when navigating through the game's darker environments.
