Key information
Two sisters are launching Hot Girl Hotline, a startup focused on bringing artificial intelligence to relationship and dating conversations for young women. Co-founders Baila Mudgil and Sumrin Mudgil created the platform to offer private discussions in a safer manner than general-purpose chatbots.
The platform utilizes a Socratic approach, where the AI asks questions to help users reach conclusions independently, grounded in behavioral science. Co-founder Baila Mudgil stated that the service is designed to feel like chatting with a trusted friend or older sister rather than acting as an AI companion.
Safety measures include referring users to resources such as the 988 crisis hotline when conversations raise flags. Additionally, the system knows when to conclude discussions rather than dragging users into endless follow-up loops, encouraging real-world action instead.
The iOS and web application encrypts user data in transit and at rest without selling or training on it. Hot Girl Hotline costs $9.99 per month, and the bootstrapped New York startup will participate in the Startup Battlefield 200 at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 in San Francisco.
