Director Hideo Kojima provided updates regarding the development, plot, and casting of Physint during an episode of his Koji10 podcast, describing the title as an action espionage game for the next generation.
Physint is intended to celebrate the creator's 40th anniversary as a developer, aiming to evoke franchise roots while delivering a novel interactive experience and fresh espionage action mechanics.
Regarding casting and narrative, the plot is already completed and character names are established. Filming begins next year with confirmed cast members Bill Skarsgard, Charlie Fraser, and Minami Hamabe, alongside other actors personally invited by Kojima.
The project is estimated to be 5 or 6 years away from release, coming after the launch of OD, another game currently in development for Microsoft.
