Key information
He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction is officially scheduled for release on February 4, 2027. Developed by Bitmap Bureau in collaboration with Mattel and Clear River Games, this retro-inspired brawler aims to capture the spirit of the 1980s animated series.
The game features 2D pixel-art gameplay across 13 distinct stages, such as the Royal Palace and Snake Mountain. Players can control He-Man, She-Ra, Man-At-Arms, or Teela, either solo or in two-player local co-op, while facing iconic adversaries like Skeletor, Evil-Lyn, Beast Man, and Trap Jaw.
Following an August preview, the title has been noted as a potential contender for the first high-quality He-Man game. This release arrives after the Masters of the Universe project on Prime Video, which achieved success on the streaming platform despite box office challenges.
The game will launch on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S. Limited Run Games is handling two physical editions: a standard version for $29.99 and a $99.99 Collector’s Edition. The latter includes premium items like a lunchbox, a power sword replica, and an acrylic standee.
