Key information

Rockstar has announced a significant evolution for the Grand Theft Auto series, confirming that players will no longer lose access to audio content when exiting vehicles in Grand Theft Auto VI. Jason and Lucia will be able to listen to radio stations and podcasts while exploring on foot.

This new functionality is facilitated by smartphone headphones or earbuds. The system allows for continuous audio playback regardless of whether the protagonists are driving or navigating the world of Leonida on foot, as reported by Eurogamer.

The developer revealed six distinct radio stations, including Cocoteo FM, Back Country Radio, AfroBank FM, The Chamber 106.6, Flash FM, and Dirty South Classics. These stations feature a variety of genres and hosts such as Bad Bunny, Lana Del Rey, and Kerry King. Additionally, players can access on-demand podcasts separate from the terrestrial radio offerings.

While Rockstar has teased future details regarding a dynamic score and Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, specific information remains limited. These audio features are set to arrive alongside the game's scheduled release on 19 November.
